Sunset view to the north of the Anticline Viewpoint, at the edge of Canyonlands National Monument. The Colorado River and Kane Creek off road trails can be seen winding below, south of Moab.

The abandoned "Doll House" pueblo, hidden among the folds of the Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears area of southern Utah. Some people call this the "Doll House Ruin", but it remains 100% intact after hundreds of years of abandonment.

The "Doll House" pueblo, at the edge of a cliff in the Cedar Mesa/Bears Ears area of southern Utah remains intact. With no fallen walls, no missing stones, and a completely weather proof (sealed) roof, just as the original architect built it, this is not a ruin, but an abandoned structure.

A group of elusive Desert Bighorn sheep make their way towards the top of a ridge near Kofa Butte. The big ram kept a wary eye on me as he moved his family in search of fresh food sources which popped up following spring rains.

Some of the wild horses which used to range over the Yuma Proving Ground and Kofa Wildlife Refuge in southwestern Arizona. This family group is grazing on wildflowers and grasses just north of the gated entrance at the proving ground's Kofa Firing Range.

The Yuma Proving Ground once had at least four separate herds of wild horses which travelled across the range from the Wellton-Mohawk Valley to the Colorado River. One of my favorite subjects during my years as a contract photographer for the Army, the horses were so acclimated to my presence, I was often able to get right into the herds to shoot family groups.

This well known (but hidden) panel, located on Comb Ridge in southern Utah, contains a large collection of carefully incised images of humans and animals, covering an area of over 830 square feet.

One of the most popular locations in Utah's Arches National Park. Located at the edge of a natural amphitheater at the end of a 2 mile long, all uphill trail, Delicate Arch is best visited in the cool air of late afternoon, just before sundown.
